Dear Parents,
On behalf of the school community I would like to extend a very warm welcome to you and your child. The school is a happy community where a caring and conscientious staff provide a secure learning environment for pupils.
East Tilbury Infant School is a Community School that was built on Trust land from the Bata Shoe Company in 1977. The school shares a spacious site with the Junior School that includes hard surfaced and grassed play areas. Adaptations to the school during the Autumn of 1999 and Spring 2000 include three Reception classrooms as well as accommodating Nursery provision, thus providing a secure area for the Foundation Stage of Education (children aged 3-5 years).
Pupils from the Infant School transfer to the Junior School following Admission arrangements with Thurrock Council. Similar procedures occur for Secondary transfer to local Secondary Schools. We invite you to become an active member of our school community and we look forward to seeing you on many occasions during the forthcoming year. We welcome your support and co-operation as we believe that our school can provide a happy and rich learning environment when parents and staff work together.
This website tells you a great deal about the school, but if you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
I wish you and your child(ren) a very happy and fruitful time at East Tilbury Infant School and Nursery.
Yours sincerely,
S.M. Cosgrow Headteacher
